Jo went to the dr today. According to the ultrasound, Oliver is about 10 pounds. MUCH bigger than anyone expected. Another, better quality ultrasound is scheduled for this Friday at 3:30 p.m. If it confirms Oliver is a 10 pound bundle of joy, there will be a c-section either next week or the following week. The dr will not let Jo have a vaginal delivery of a 10 pound baby. If he is only 8 pounds, an induction will be scheduled for next week. The dr will let Josephine know on Monday. In the meantime, we pray.

Ultrasounds can be off by quite a bit. According to all the ultrasounds I had with Caitlyn, she was supposed to be a 9 lb baby. She only weighed 7 lb 7 oz. I think they base it off measurements of certain bones. Caitlyn was long, just really skinny & still is.
Gosh, I can't believe they are just going to c section her. My oh my. I know all everyone wants is a healthy baby. Maybe she will go into labor tonight and delive fast!!!!!!!!
Just another quick note. Michelle delivered a 9.5 lb baby. I'd at least see if there's any way she can try to deliver the baby before opting for a c-section. I'll be praying for a smooth delivery and healthy baby boy.
It seems strange to me too. "Oh gee, she's having a big baby, let's wait another week or two and see how big he gets!" They must be trying to pay for a new ultrasound machine....
