Today is our 25th anniversary! We were married in a small but now closed, Church of The Nazarene in Clovis, NM. Our best man passed away to cancer several years ago. Special thanks to Dave and especially Cheryl Eyster who were so very supportive and encouraging. Cheryl made the cake, stood up for me and was more helpful than you can possibly imagine.

Two children and one son-in-law later I can honestly say God has truly blessed us more than we deserve. Pressed down, shaken together and yes-running out all over! Luke 6:38

There will be no fancy dinner or notice in the paper. I'm not that type. We will celebrate quietly in Sept when we go on our cruise.

Beginning at age 50, most people are advised to have a colonoscopy. At the age of 55, April 14th, Bill had his first one. I know. You're jealous.
I took this pic after the "procedure." He had a tough time coming out of the anesthesia. Beforehand, the doctors had told us he would start coming out in about 15 mins. Not Bill! It was 45 mins until he was finally coherent.
Bill's colon looked good. He won't have to go through this again for 10 years!
He looks pretty bad, doesn't he. :-)

My New Car. The suburban is being retired to a grassy spot in front of the camper. My new primary vehicle will be Travers's "old" car. It's an '89 (I think) Buick Lesabre. The Buick gets 21 mpg in town compared to my suburban's 12-14. The Buick is big and comfortable. It also reminds me of a song I hear on KLOVE about having a "few dents in my fender, a couple rips in my jeans." The missing paint on the hood adds character. Now, for Travers' new transportation!

Travers' New Car

My dear son bought himself a new-to-him car. He was looking for something conservative and still sporty. He and his dad made a deal on this 07 Dodge Caliber. It's a gold color, automatic. He is happy and very VERY proud. Because he's only 21, insurance is HIGH! If he were listed as primary driver, it would cost $200 a month!! Bill is listed as primary, which is completely legal, keeping the cost to less than $100 a month. Travers is still on the Buick as primary. It all worked out and as I said, State Farm assured me it's legal.

Tomorrow is Easter! A celebration of Jesus' life. I'll add more, and maybe a few pics, later. Maybe I can even get Jo in a few!
